Youth across the nation are speaking out this week about the biggest issues impacting their lives, and sharing what they think should be done about them.

At a moment in time when our youth are facing challenges as extreme as the isolation of distant learning, a pandemic, gun violence, and the fights for educational justice and immigration reform, middle and high schools students are taking to their soapboxes by the thousands to speak out directly about how today’s challenges are affecting their lives and the lives of their families and communities. Empowered by their real life experiences, youth are finding their voices, speaking up, and energizing their fellow youth, teachers, and communities.

Last year over 49,000 students from 300+ schools in 20 states participated in Project Soapbox.

This year’s Project Soapbox Illinois and Washington DC mainstage events will be held tomorrow, December 10.

Want to help us celebrate the power of youth voice and advocacy? Join us for the mainstage event where 10 students nominated by their teachers and fellow classmates to represent their schools will give two-minute call-to-action speeches.

Project Soapbox’s powerful speeches have lasting, transformative impacts on classrooms, schools and communities across the nation. Watch their empowering 2020 speeches now:
